My first thought was “Wait a minute, how is this modest proposal different from the world I already live in?” and my second was that really, it’s not even worth trying to answer that question. I generally don’t read this kind of thing anymore, because my doing so makes nobody’s life better. Why do you?

I originally took it as clever satire, but then reading the author’s responses in the comment section, I came to realize with horror that she was actually being serious.
