Movie observation

I’m amused that whenever I’ve mentioned the movie Inglourious Basterds to a woman thus far, the association with the movie that she’s drawn was not World War II, or Quentin Tarantino. Every time I’ve mentioned it, the woman recognized the movie by the presence of Brad Pitt in it.

Never mind that this was quite possibly his least-sexy role ever (especially with the hilariously-ridiculous hillbilly accent). Women just seem to like Brad Pitt.

It’s pretty much this.

Damn you, Brad Pitt!

Yeabut women like vampires too. Women are not understandable by us mere mortals.

I didn’t even remember that Brad Pitt was in it. If you mention it to me I think, “Quentin Tarantino movie.”

I replaced my face in my christmas card with that of Brad Pitt, and it’s much better recieved!

And your point is? :-P

See, when I heard about this movie, my first two thoughts were:

OMG IT’S A MOVIE ABOUT JEWS KILLING NAZIS. It’s either going to be awesome or wrong or both.

Doesn’t Quentin Tarantino do really gory stuff? Am I gonna want to see this?!

I … had to have Brad Pitt pointed out to me.

It is both awesome and wrong.

Although there is gory stuff in it. Really what you want to watch the movie for is the dialogue, though, which is downright excellent, even though the majority of the movie isn’t even in English.

I actually had a bit of a problem watching the fire scene. That shit freaked me out.

Also, I was pleased to discover seeing that much violence, even cartoonish, gory violence done to Nazis is something I find extremely unsettling.

Wow. Just, wow. When you put it that way…

Er, no.
