Couple of inches to fill

At least 28 people died and at least 44 were injured when a bus plunged off a highway and into a ravine in Bolivia Sunday, state media said.

Preliminary police reports indicate that brake problems on the bus, which was carrying 70 passengers, may have caused the accident, state-run Radio Patria Nueva reported.

Hmm, how can it be at least 28 dead and at least 44 injured if the bus had a driver, a helper and 70 passengers? There is no one left to make it ‘at least’. Well unless they count the dead as part of the injured (which I suppose they are).

Well, the bus could have been overloaded.

Are you familiar with the use of bus plunge stories?

There are 6.8 billion people outside of the bus that could have been hurt or killed in the crash.

So you’re suggesting that instead of the bus, it’s Bolivia that’s been filled over capacity?

Nah, I’m just saying that it’s not only the people on a bus that can get hurt in a bus accident. There’s any number of reasons for why a person might have been in or near that ravine at the time, and I can’t account for everyone else’s whereabouts (although I doubt they were all in Bolivia at the time, I can’t say exactly who was). For all I know, someone from China might have been dumped there by an eddy in the space time continuum.
